Paniyiri 50: The Girl from Greece – Our Big Fat Greek Café Tour

As part of the 50th anniversary of Paniyiri, The Girl from Greece returns with a vibrant new production, Our Big Fat Greek Café Tour.

Following their sold-out debut, The Girl from Greece: A Tribute to Nana Mouskouri at Queensland Performing Arts Centre in 2023, and bringing Greco Retro Jazz to Brisbane Jazz Club in 2025, this latest show continues their celebration of Hellenic culture through story and song.

Audiences are taken on a nostalgic journey through the Golden Era of Greek cafés in Australia — the bustling meeting places that became the heart of communities across the country.

Through a soundtrack of Greek music, jazz and timeless favourites, the performance captures the spirit of a generation.

Drawing on stories from their family’s iconic establishments, Elite Café and Feros & Feros Café, this is a celebration of culture, community and connection.

Expect laughter, emotion and unforgettable music as part of Paniyiri 50.
